To prevent tick bites, it is important to cover the skin as much as possible with clothing, socks, and closed shoes, and to apply tick-repellent on areas of exposed skin. After visiting risk-areas (woods, dunes, gardens, and moors), it is important to check your body for tick bites. Always remove ticks as quickly as possible.

Insect and tick-repellents containing a range of ingredients are obtainable. For children, DEET-free products are generally the best option. Care Plus® Anti-Tick is based on lemon-eucalyptus extracts and contains 30% Eucalyptus Citriodora oil for a long-lasting effect against ticks. The product offers up to six hours’ protection and is safe for all the family, including for children aged three months and older.
