Very light, roomy and reliable one person tent.
Svalbard 1 SI is light, functional and spacious with the ability to withstand a hurricane if pegged properly. It surpassed the magic 32,7 m/s in our wind tunnel test and at the same time the pole construction allows plenty of space for storage inside the sleeping compartment with additional room for footwear and cooking in the small porch. It is easy and quick to pitch and to pack down again – and since it is inner pitched it allows you to pitch the inner tent as a stand alone if the weather is too hot and the conditions allow. Svalbard 1 is optimal for trekking as it packs small but performs big.
Svalbard is an archipelago in the Arctic, constituting the northernmost part of mainland Europe, midway between Norway and the North Pole. Svalbard has seven national parks containing many seabirds, polar bears, reindeer and marine mammals, due to an Arctic climate significantly warmer than other areas at the same latitude. Svalbard has only few roads, which is why snowmobiles, aircraft and boats are the preferred vehicles.
